Dhaka Cultural Reporters Unity (DCRU) has elected Rezaul Karim Reza as president and Babul Hriday as general secretary. Zubair Rahman Chowdhury became the organizing secretary. The organization was formed 20 years ago in 2003 with cultural reporters from print, television and online media. The new committee was announced at the National Press Club on Monday, April 17, during an iftar and doa mahfil ceremony. Md. Saiful Islam, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Quddus Afrad, former president, Dhaka Journalists Union, Chowdhury Rezwana Basar, Advisor Human Rights Khabar were present as special guests. All members and guests of Dhaka Cultural Reporters Unity (DCRU) were also present at this time. The guests in their speech congratulated the new committee and wished the committee success.
